Welcome

Welcome to Marlborough Infant School

On behalf of the staff, governors and children I would like to welcome you to Marlborough Infant School.  We hope that you find our school website informative and fun, giving a strong insight into what we offer as a school community. We are welcoming, open and transparent as a school and you will see this as you navigate through our school website at the information available. I would like to direct you to the parents section of our website to read the most up to date newsletters.

As the smallest school within the Aldershot cluster of schools, with 3 small classes, our school offers children and families an ethos, atmosphere and environment that is highly nurturing, caring, personal and close knit, with a highly regarded community and family feel to it, whilst being successful in innovative approaches to teaching and learning, and school development.

Our school was inspected by Ofsted in November 2019 and was judged as 'GOOD'. Leadership and Management and Early Years Provision were judged as 'OUTSTANDING'.

We work closely with the other schools in Aldershot and work in a partnership with Wellington Community Primary School in Aldershot, having been so since July 2017, sharing the same Head Teacher and Chair of Governors, Neil Bridger. Our unique and highly successful partnership allows Marlborough to retain its small school character while benefiting from a wide range of highly skilled and experienced staff that both schools together have to offer. Both schools follow the same curriculum and staff work closely together to give children consistently high quality learning and extra-curricular embellishments, including our children across the schools going on school visits together and many staff leading aspects of both schools.

We have high expectations at Marlborough and, as a result of our successful partnership and school developments, standards across the school are in line with those found nationally and are often above the national expectations.

Pupils at Marlborough understand what it is to be respectful and take pride in their work, the school providing a calm and purposeful place to learn. Personal development, behaviour and welfare across the school are key strengths and our children are a real credit to the school, at the heart of what the school is striving to achieve. The staff, governors, and community are committed to achieving the school's vision and values, along with our motto across the two schools; 'Together for Excellence'

Whether you are an existing parent, or a new parent to the community, looking to enrol your child in our school, please contact the school office to arrange a time to come and have a look around so that you can see first hand what we are all about at Marlborough, and why we are so proud of our school community.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the school office directly.

Paper copies of all the information on our website can be made available upon request.

'Marlborough Infant School and Hampshire County Council are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.'
